Unhappy Need help!

Alright here goes I have a 2000 Dodge Durango 5.9 L. has had some whining while driving lately. higher in pitch and volume the faster you go. recently it switched to a slightly grinding noise and now I have a clunking noise coming from the front end. I don't dare drive it and it is our only vehicle. If someone has had this issue before and knows what it is, That would be fantastic. I am currently thinking major issue such as either front differential or the transfer case. I hope I am wrong but any help would be great. Thanx all.

def a wheel bearing and super easy to replace. i myself have a bad fan clutch that needs replacing
it could be other things too but unless you check part by part where the sound is coming from you wont know.
i had a whine noise coming from the front thought it was the power steering pump ended up being the trans and the clutch on the fan. take it to a garage if your unsure of wherre it is coming from.

Do you have any idea where from the front the noise is coming from? Its not definately a wheel bearing it could be alot of other things as well. Does it drive any differently?

Jack up the front of the truck and spin the tires also. Listen for the grinding noise. Maybe even take the tire off to check for play in the bearings and go from there.

I had similar sounds.
It was CV-joint on front propeller shaft.
