Default Can anyone identify this (picture)?

I removed my undercarriage skid plate several weeks ago to change my oil. After finishing the oil change, I noticed the hose/tube shown on the attached pictures that appears to have detached from somewhere. I have been driving the car since then and have not noticed anything strange in terms of how it is running. The second picture, with the arrow, shows where the tube leads, but I cannot see where it attaches to the engine. Anyone know what this is?

Thanks,
BLM

Is the front of rear of the truck? Does it look like it was torn off at the end sticking down?

Front of the truck, directly under the engine. The end of that hose/tube doesn't appear to have been torn, ripped, or otherwise damaged, but it does appear to be intended to connect to something else.

that looks to me like the differential breather hose, if you have a 4x4 it should stick up in the engine bay near the battery, the white piece on the end is a valve/filter to keep unwanted stuff out of it.
