unless he has california emissions vehicle he only has 1 pre cat 02 sensor in his truck, i have posted a breakdown of the O2 sensor setups that came on these trucks and which systems came with them, it was in response to one of your posts
I will check the CAT tomorrow. I noticed I don't develop the misfire until it has been driven 2miles at full operating temp. I cleaned the TB till it was spotless today when I changed out the IAC. Haven't got to drive it yet with the cleaning and IAC cause my truck was blocked in the shop. $35 for a denso O2 sensor from Rockauto isn't to bad. I might as well order it cause mine is so old plus the oil.

Since I really don't know what to look for in what color the CAT should be here is a pic:
Now I had just driven 10miles with a hard WOT acceleration just before the pic was taken. It was Idling when the picture was taken. The color is really close even though the pic is kinda blurry.

I don't think its plugged, would some one confirm. I'll update after the new O2 sensor goes in next week.
ok i did the O2 sensor and put in a new hypertech coil. It seems a lot better now. I still have a miss fire. It sounds as if I have a plug wire shorting to the block by the click noise that accompanies the miss. It sounds as if it is on cylinder 1 or 3. I will be investigating today and tomorrow. I also have noticed that even with the 180 t-stat the engine will run 190-210 when the ambient temp gets above 70ish. So I'm gonna add an e-fan from my friends hyundai if I can get it mounted and stuff.
So I finally figured it out. I feel dumb now, I could hear a click like the spark wire was grounding out. So I wrapped it in electrical tape last weekend 
. Today it was hot out and driving home from work I had to put it to the floor to accelerate and the check engine light flashed for a second. So I figured I would solve this before I tuned it. Pulled the #1 spark plug and the top electrode that the wire clamps on was loose from when I pulled to replaced the wires. I twisted it back down tight and all is good so far. I check #3 too but it was good. Go ahead and flame cause at this point I deserve it for being so bone headed
