Default Can you identify this part???

Can anyone identify this???
I just changed the transmission in my '98 durango and foudn this on the garage floor (under the drivers side front wheel)

Does anyone have a clue where this came from??

Looks like the plastic nut that holds the air hat on

Thats what I thought, but ... mine was never removed (and is held down with a butterfly nut).

I need to re-check.. Its possible that this thing has been stuck in there for several years, and dropped out when i pulled the tranny. Previous owner might have lost it there.

that is exactly what it is, that is the only place a nut like that goes, and it looks brand spanking new...

That was it..
Took it to the house, pulled the butterfly nut off and looked real close, dropped it right in.

Even looks a heck of a lot better than the butterly nut.
