I have a 98 I bought with 130k on it and my wife has been negligent to say the least as far as maintenance goes and it now has 177k on it . Just purchased a 4.7 with 300k that's right no typo.. It's in great shap only on rust spot on door and I'm in rochester NY ,salty harsh winters. I'll let you know when we hit 200k on first and 350k on second.

Just curious. I bought my 1999 Durango V8 5.2 4x4 in 2006 with 75,000 miles on it and in excellent condition for just $5000!! It had had only one owner, who had taken amazing care of the D. It now has 225,000 and is running pretty well. I haven't had to spend anything on it except for routine oil changes, bj replacement and new tie rods, break pads, and water pump. I wonder how many more miles I can put on it given proper care and maintenance. So, who has the most miles on his/her Durango in this forum?

I think I read somewhere in these forums that someone had made it to 400,000 plus! Waiting for that person to pop in.

My 2000 Dodge Durango 5.9 just hit 316,000 miles. My family gave it to me recently so I haven't been the owner all of this time, but from my understanding it's the original engine and transmission. I could be totally wrong but that's what my dad said and if he's right that would be a hell of a feat. Love the thing to death shooting for 350,000 as my next milestone. Going to need to put some work into it forsure though |

I just bought a relatively clean 03 with 335K KM on it (208K miles) for $1500. Cost me roughly $250 to fix it up for safety (shocks and brake pads). Truck runs strong and everything works, even the seat heaters. Plan on rebuilding the top end of the motor this summer and we're buying a 20-24' camper to do some light traveling. No unusual noises from the drivetrain and the transmission shifts nice. No vibrations at highway speeds and so forth. I have a little rust to deal with, but only 1 small hole in the rocker panel, the rest is in the door bottoms and hatch which can be easily replaced.
While I am not surprised, people really give Dodge a bum rap. They make awesome trucks. |
Mileage on a Dodge Durango
I have a 2005 Dodge Durango and she has 246225 miles. I haven’t really had to work on her much. All in all beside regular maintainer (oil changes, tires etc) I had to replace heater coil a few years back and just recently had the transmission serviced but other than that I haven’t really had to do anything. So what is the most mile one of these vehicles has had on them? I’m just curious. |

I just noticed this post. You said expensive tires? Maybe compared to a car, but 15in rim truck tires are the cheapest on the market! You get brand new mud tires from walmart for $135 a tire for wranglers, and $88 a tire for regular cheap-o 15's. Try that on any other truck or SUV. My 04 Yukon takes 180 a tire.
on the 4wd Dakota went from 235/7515s that were definitely well worn, to 265/70-15s.... (real close to same as 31-10.50's) |
