My 1998 Durango Wont drive in 2HI

Just replaced 231 Transfer case upon diagnosis from shop.
My 5.2L 4wd 98 Durango Will drive now but only in 4HI and 4LO.
When I put it in gear in 2HI It just idles.
Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?

Sounds like the rear end isn't pulling it's weight. It could be the rear end or it is the drive shaft.
