Default 98 Durando neutral safety switch

Can anyone tell me where the other end of the wiring harness goes to from the neutral safety switch? Also, what would fry the switch and harness connector?

The two outer wires are for the reverse lights and the center wire is the sense wire to tell what gear your in..

Good luck trying to find a plug for that. Dealer wanted $50 bucks for it and most of the junkyards had a plug in the same condition. If you can find a ford like a crown vic or one of there vans IIRC 96 and up use the same plug for the altenator. that's what i had to do and the splice it in to the old one.

As far as melting it just all the heat from being so close to the trans all those years i guess..
