erratic start

Hi y'all. Occasionally When I start up my 2000 5.9 COLD, it will do a very high idle but as soon as I tap on the gas it goes back down to normal. What might this be. Thanks

sounds to me like a sticky IAC valve, i would clean it and the tb out very well. and see what happens

Ya I will have to agree. Remove the TB and have a good cleaning to start.
