I have a 2001 Durango 4.7 that has a blown head gasket. I'm going to replace it with a rebuilt 4.7, but I understand the 2008 4.7 have improvements to the head that give more HP and better MPG. Does anyone know how difficult it would be to make the swap to a 2008+ 4.7?

 

the 2008+ have more changes than just the head iirc, they also have 2 spark plugs per cylinder. that said if you find a donor truck w/ the correct wiring and computer i would expect it to bolt right in.
