Default switch near cupholders

I recently bought a used 2002 Dodge Durango SLT. Unfortunately, it does not have the owners manual. I have 2 questions:

1. There is a switch on the center console near the cupholders. There is a light on it, however, when I push the switch, it does not come on. Can someone tell me what this switch is for?

2. On the overhead display, there are three buttons in the middle, one has 1 dot, one 2 dots, and one 3 dots. When pushed, a "house" lights up on the display and blinks at different rates. What are these buttons for?

Thanks in advance for the help!

1. if it is a pair of seats near where the top of the center console opens is for the heated seats

2. is the homelink system, program your garage doors or community gate to them

That homelink is awesome, I had it on my 03 Liberty, I could turn on the lights in my house as I pulled up the driveway, so if someone was in my house, at least I could say I gave them a "warning shot"...haha

Can't get any better than that! unless you can rig up a AK47 to blast them out with a push of a button...
