Default AC/Blower Issues - 01 Durango

I've got a 2001 4WD 4.7l Durango ...

I've looked through dozens of posts, and I'm finding a lot of issues SIMILAR to mine, but nothing that pin points it...Many people have been saying that their AC won't blow unless it's on the highest setting, and that the blower resistor is the fix for this. I have the exact opposite problem.

My AC will not work on Max. Only on Setting 1, 2 or 3. From my understanding, the resistor shouldn't cause issues with the max setting, only the lower settings. All the lowers work fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

With the lower speeds working fine, and only the max having issues, would the resistor issue still apply?

Thanks!

Welp, since it was only a 16$ part, I took the chance and replaced it.

And the results are in ...

The resistor can indeed jack up the high setting and leave the others just fine.

Cheers!
