Default strange problem arisen

so i got the good parts on my truck and its going in to the frame shop on thursday but today i took it for a spin arround the neighborhood. it starts up and runs fine but when i turn the headlights on all the gauges stop working and the odometer is blank. i can turn the ignition off as well but the engine is still running, until i turn the headlights off. the dash works just fine with the lights off... ideas?

i have the drivers side fender off still and there are two wires that were grounded to it, could that be the problem? i also only have one headlight currently hooked up.

any ideas would be great. im hoping its a simple grounding issue .

Thanks guys

Srch

i would venture a guess that its a ground issue, connect those grouds to the frame temporarily to test and see what happens, let us know

Will do. Taking the Barry to be load tested today first though. It won't hold a charge very long

Got the battery tested. Out of 700 cca it has 250 cca. Looks like its time for a new battery.
