Comp Cams

Has anyone here put in the comp cams xr 264r 14 cam in their 318? If so i would like to know if it could be installed and require no pcm mods and how much of a difference there was in power on the low end. Thanks.

Any cam/valvetrain mods will need a custom tune. Check the ram section they have quite a few threads on this kind of subject.

On one of my older threads some guy posted that he had a comp cams 258 in his 5.9 and it needed no computer modas and it worked great.

they may WORK without the computer tune, but you will never realize the full potential of a mod like this without the computer tune

Well i do have a superchips tuner on the performance 91 setting and 1.5 degrees advanced timing. do you mean hughesengines.com?
