that would be a bad clutch then, not a bad bearing.

how serious is the clutch will it be a replace now situation or can it hold off for a while without major problems/repairs?

there's really isn't any point in putting it off. It's not very difficult to replace so you may as well take care of it.

I do want to clear something up though... The fan should be able to be spun by hand some while the engine is cold (and off obviously). If the fan won't spin the clutch is bad. If the fan keeps spinning freely, its bad. Ideally we're looking for around a quarter turn of the fan.

If the fan can be rocked forwards and backwards the waterpump shaft has bad bearings and must be replaced immediately before it completely fails.

That's bad *** my fan turns both ways that's probably not too major tho right?

Have a good look at it.

Is the entire assembly moving (shaft and all), just the clutch/fan or just the fan?

That'll narrow down the issue in a quick order.

It seemed to be all moving the rod moved with the fan im not Even sure what the clutch looks like
