neutral safety switch problems

Default neutral safety switch problems

i have a 2003 durango that i think the neutral safety switch is bad on. the problem i have is i cant get the old switch out. got the screw out if the plastic tab but dount know how to deal with the stud(?) in the silver tab. do you pry it off or bend it. anyone have any ideas or instruction? would be a great help, thanks

I can't help you 100% as mine is a 98 and the 03 switch is diff than the 98 but i can advise you to check out the DYI section stickey where there is a link to download the 2002 factory service manual. that will be 99.9% the same on the 03 and it should give you complete instructions on removing it.
