A/C leak in the rear lines. How do I bypass it?
So the A/C stopped working in our '02 DUrango. I had them look at it during the last oil change and was told the rear a/c lines have a leak in them somewhere. To replace the lines or whatever is needed to put it back in proper working order was around $1200+ per their quote.
They also said they could do something to bypass the rear a/c lines so I'd just have front a/c, and they'd only charge $450 for that.
We don't use a/c much but would like to have something functional. Can anyone tell me about this bypassing or disabling the rear a/c? Is that something I could do myself? They mentioned needing a kit of some sort.
I'd like to save the money so if this is something that's not all that hard, please point me towards a tutorial or let me know how to do it if you know.
Thanks!!
