Anyone know where the expansion valve is located on the 1998 Durango front AC? I would like to replace myself if the dash does not have to be removed.

 

THe expansion valves are usually on the evaporator, so you probably do have to take the dash out to do it.

 

It is in the engine compartment located on the firewall behind the intake box. All the A/C lines go into it, it is easy to spot but you need some A/C line separator tools. I found them at Oriellys for like $6. Why do you want to replace it anyways?
