I have a 2001 Dodge Durango R/T, 5.9, 422,300 miles. 3 days ago it started shaking really bad when I started it. It has done it the past three mornings, but once it's been running, it stops doing this. Throughout the day when I start it, it doesn't do it. I read the codes and got "misfire on 3, 4, 7." (I have had this code for 3 years though) I need to get another 1-2 years out of this vehicle (have 2 kids in college, nothing left for a car payment!) Any thoughts, advice? Need to keep this baby running!!
when was your last tune up? plugs, wires, cap and rotor w/ bras contacts you could be getting moisture in the cap causing the misfire and once the engine heats up it evaporates/boils out and is fine until the temperatures come down again at night
