I have had a strange noise come up in the front right wheel that I cannot figure out. it turns out a found a bad lower ball joint, replaced it and noise is still there.. its like a rubbing noise, not metal to metal. I also had a strange uneven wear pattern on the right side brakes like somthing was shifted to the side. I figured it was the ball joint so I replaced the pads and rotors on both sides. 2 weeks ago I also replaced both bearing hubs and the noise started after that.
Please reply with any ideas.. the truck is a 1999 4 by 2 5.2 L

Did you torque your axle nut to spec our just crank it down? i had the same prob, backed the nut off and re torqued it. Haven't heard the noise since. Mine was more of a constant rubbing sound.
