2000 durango 4x4 issue
looking for some help i have a 2000 durango with the 5.9 whenever i am in 4 wheel drive and make turns at low speed i lose all power and it stops as if the breaks are beign pressed but if i straighten it outr every thing returns to normal any info on this would be apreciated.

It will still bind in the dirt. The tires are going to bind to the point when one of the 4 breaks loose and spins a little. At the point it slips it will relieve some of the tension on the driveline but will bind right back up within the next couple feet then the process will start over again.

In 4wd you want to be on loose terrain that allows for some wheel movement(bit of spin) to compensate for the distance difference between the front and rear wheels in turns, as the front and rear turn together, to counter travel difference/binding. On non-loose surface where you maintain grip you only want to use 4wd for a short distance or you'll have your issue ie binding.
