Default motor swap.

are there any stroker kits that dont require you to get your block bored?
i live in a very remote part of western ny. and the closest machine shop that i have found that has the ability to bore engine blocks is in buffalo. and thats an hour drive.
i have the 5.2. but im getting a 5.9 to put in my durango. and i wanted to bore it out but im seeing now thats going to be very dificult for me. so i want to find a stroker kit for the 5.9 that doesnt require any boring. if i absolutely have to get the block bored to have any stroker kit work then i will have to find a way to make it work.
if anyone has any knowledge in this please give me some info.
thank you very much!

You don't have to bore, because you can simply piece your own kit together and buy pistons that fit your bore.

The problem is that most used blocks have enough cylinder bore wear to put them out of spec for standard bore pistons. The rings don't seal tight enough and the piston wobbles. This causes excessive wear and blow by causing loss of compression and smoke.

An option, call the machine shop, and buy the 360 block already bored and prepped from them. Then you only have to make one trip to drive and pick it up and bring it home.
