33x12.50x15 will rub. I say again will rub. Shocks then and now Pro Comp with a 5/8" shaft. They are as big as one can fit. Trust me after going through all of the stock that 4 wheel parts had, these are the tightest and biggest shocks. Smooth on road and are caddy like off-road.

doesnt matter how your durango is set up. i nice looking durango is a nice looking durango.
on a side note thanks for the tire info. i found a few different wheel spacers. and i can get a set of 4 1.5" spacers for a little over $100 plus shiping. so in the spring when i tear her down and build her up with the 3" lift. im going to get the 33x12.5x15 tires and ill just use the spacers. should give her a new meaner stance also!
thanks guys.
and great looking rides, all of you. i love to see so many ppl, so proud of there hard work, thanks for keeping this thread going. there is alot of very helpfull and usefull information on here for ppl looking to do mods to the d's!!!

Here's my bone stock 1999 Dodge Durango 4x4 with a 5.9 Magnum and a set of 31x10.50r15 Cooper Discoverer STT's. I just replaced the shocks and ball joints on it. Now it's ready for deer season.

oh just wanted to ask a question for anyone out there that knows. with a 2" t/s lift obviously your down travel is greater. and the shocks are only stock length, so. do you need longer than stock length shocks for the front and rear? if so how much longer than stock? 1", 1.5", 2." longer? and where do i get em? just go to autozone and ask for longer shocks with the same setup top and bottom?

No you don't need longer shocks. But with the t/s your front end will be noticeably stiffer. My truck feels like a 1 ton in the front

I thought the point was to clock the bars so they we not that stiff. Mine I gave a few cranks to stiffen them up. But they also are drop style for the 5.5" lift.

clock the bars? huh? now if i take what you said literally. you can turn the bars to soften the ride? cuz yes jmess, my d feels like a 1 ton p.u hauling tail. lol. it feels like i should i should have an air ride seat like what truckers have th sit on to offset the bumpy stiff as heck ride. lol.
but in all honesty. can you adjust your t bars for ride comfort by turning them.

Most lift/lower keys are "clocked" or hex rotated to move bar up/down with the stock feel of spring pressure. The 1962 Chevy truck I have has the torsion bars "loose" let them hang til I get the air ride in. Low enough to have to remove bumpstops.
