I don't have fog lights on my Durango. But thanks for the suggestion.

Yeah man, no easy solution! Gotta do the DRLs and think about upgrading the headlamp bulbs. In addition to the crazy import costs and immigration fees. AWESOME!

1) thinking of the CTM as a giant relay while close is not correct it can vary the voltage and limit current im not going to get into that here because this thread is crazy enough as it is.

the one module shown in this thread sends a low voltage to the low beam wire when the engine is on, if it were me i would have no problem wiring that cheaper module into that point using diodes to prevent a backfeed into the CTM or into that module, could be done very easily with the module and another <$10 in diodes, however based on what you have said i would not suggest you attempt that.

you COULD have a set of fog lights installed and set them up only as DRLs, where they are connected as that_guy described above to any key on power source.

i could put together a wire diagram for you on the first method if you have someone to do the install that understands electrical (if you lived nearby me i would tell you to bring the module and a case of beer and id install it for you)

I know it's not actually a big relay, I was just trying to make things a bit simpler to understand. Anyway, I was speaking more of the signal input side of it than the output side.
