I have a 2001 Durango and the brake lights do not work on rear left or right but the center light works, the bulbs are good, normal tail lights are working. Anyone have any ideas as to what is wrong?

 

check the contacts in the housings and try to bend them out, some users have reported these contacts not being in the right position for good connections.

while you have the lights out (if that doesnt fix it) check for voltage at the plugs to see where the issue lies.

 

yeah, those contacts can warp from the heat and not make good connection with the bulb holders anymore

 

Agree with those guys. Pretty cheap fix. Happened to me as well
