Default Rear main seal?

Hey guys, my 99 durango has been leaking oil since the day i got it. i park it on a paved walkway every now and then to see if the drip is getting bigger, and it puts a stain about the size of a computer mouse every time i park it there. im 99% sure its the rear main because its leaking out from wear the tranny meats the motor. I put in fresh oil the day i got the truck and its went threw a Quart and a half so far, im sure it burns a little as well because it has around 200k miles on it.

my question is how hard would it be to replace this seal by your self?

I have a fairly stocked shop, bunch of air tools, jacks all that stuff.

Thanks guys!!!!

seal from the transfer case was what leaked on mine.

I just had the shop replace it when they were servicing everything else.

IIRC, the seal and service was about $175. The band adjustment $125. The broken part they found another $225. ATF+4 and a stocker filter another $100.

That about does it.
