suspension/steering pop and creek
I checked my suspension out due to the popping/creeking and i found that the boot on one of the upper ball joints had greese coming out of it and i replaced both. I did the check before hand and the balljoints seemed fine but when i took them out the one with the greese coming out of the boot was super loose so i got that out of the way. Now the popping continues. I just replaced the sway bushings again as well. I know my intermediate shaft needs to be replaced due to the sound it makes but could that be related?
Most of the time i go over bumps and something sounds loose and on bigger bumps it pops. I thought i wouldve gotten rid of it with replacing the upper ball joints. The lowers havent been replaced but they look fine even when ive checked them by lifting/moving the tire. Is there anything i should check or maybe tighten? Tomorrow aftenoon i will be going around and checking things to make sure theyre tight? And where can i get the best deal on the intermediate shaft?

I had a bad popping noise a while ago in herd turns and over bumps. Turned out my upper control arm was loose. Take your front tires off and give them a wiggle. As far as the steering shaft I would try rockauto.com they're real good on prices. Either that or a scrap yard
This may sound crazy, but I had the some what of the same problem, a clanking sound,
My problem was my brake pads, I changed them, low and behold, the noise was gone. I guess the pads where clanking around, I thought for sure it was front end troubles. Can't hurt to check it out. Good luck

Finally checked everything out and everything seemed okay. Lower ball joints have never been changed so i changed em out last week. Grinded the tops of the rivets off, drilled a hole in each of em, then used a punch and hammer to take em out. Made sure everything was good and tight during installation and luckily the popping went away.
The grease in the boots was so dry and the passenger ball joint had some play in it and a swollen boot so i bet thats the one that would make the most noise. Just ordered an intermediate shaft which should be here tomorrow and is getting installed wednesday..that will cure the last of the popping.
