P0107 Map Sensor Voltage Too Low

P1296 No 5V to MAP Sensor

Seems to me that it is a issue with the MAP sensor not getting the 5V it should. The P1296 is most likely causing the P0107 and once the first is corrected the second should cancel too. These codes AFAIK have NOTHING to do with the cat. If i where you i would leave it alone..

Sounds like what you first need to to is look for some blown fuses... if nothing is found that i would grab a multi meter and check for 5v in the feed wire (Cav 3, Violet/White wire) If the power is there then you have a faulty sensor... in not then you need to start tracing wires and see where it stops...

I would just forget about the Cat... It sounds like it is working properly or you would be throwing code for it...

While your out there... i forgot to mention if you not getting 5V on the feed wire i told ya check to make sure your connections are tight and clean to the PCM also make sure your harness is clean... IIRC the 5V signal comes from the PCM.

You could but, then you might run into 2 issues... the one you get could be bad or will go bad in a short time then you are stuck back where you are... Best bet is to bite the bullet and order a new one.. Usually rockauto is pretty fair with prices.
