Im just puting this out here to warn people. After having 3 pcms shipped to me from Auto Computer Exchange because the first 2 didnt work my third one finally went bad suprise suprise and even though it has a lifetime warranty they refused to warranty their pcm. Now im out the money and have to get a new one somewhere else. Dont trust Auto Computer Exchange.

Is there a reason why they are refusing? What is the time span between the PCM swaps? Have you confirm it is not something on your truck that is shorting out the pcm? Is the current 4th PCM you receive from someone else holding much longer than the first 3 pcms you received from A.C.E.?

I have had to sit on the phone and argue with these guys on behalf of customers at least half a dozen times this year. Usually the 2nd or 3rd....sometimes 4th one....... 2 different companies.

One guy actually tried to convince me there was no way it could be bad because they have a whole drive train for that specific model on a stand in their facility, and that they tested it before they shipped it out. No......seriously!

If you take it to a legitimate shop and have them verify everything, you may get a refund.

I have used alldata's troubleshooting chrart twice now and it has directed me to the pcm being the fault. The first one got the vehice running but my instrument panel didnt work, the second one worked for a day, and the third one for a year and a half. They told me the first time i was on the phone that the specific part in the pcm that had failed wasnt covered under their "lifetime warranty" and the second call i was told by the manager and quote "It is all your fault because the pcm had gotten too hot". Then they blocked my email and dont respond to any of my calls.

If it makes you feel any better, I sometimes get bad ones from Chrysler too. But you guys are at a disadvantage because they can blow you off and just make up crap to say. Of course I don't know the whole story, but that sounds like them. Like I said though, you could try to get a shop to call in for you. At least they can banter with them on a technical level and call their bluff if indeed you are accurate with your tests.
