Default Aftermarket head unit wiring help.

1999 5.9l SLT W/ Infinity Sound. Bought the Scosche CJ1282B mounting kit and the American International cwh 64a infinity sound system adapter with RCA jacks. All wiring is labeled minus a single black wire coming from the stereo connector, black in color and a single solitary connector coming from the car's harness, also black. Common sense tells me that these are the ground and should be connected, though I do want to be certain though before I screw up my electrical system.

If its solid black then it indicates a ground to me. Usually speaker wires that may be black will usually have a white line down it. On every install Kit i have had, the wires on the aftermarket adapter have had the wires function printed on it.

Ok so I hook it up and I have power to the stereo but no sound from the speakers. If I had to guess the amp isn't turning on. What I am using as ground was originally a connector labeled 'amp', must I cross it with something to get sound?

Edit: connected the blue amp turn on wire to the power antenna wire, also blue, and I've got audio.
