Default Ticking noise possibly exhaust related?

I just had my exhaust manifold and muffler replaced today. I notice when I accelerate I hear a ticking noise. I have needed work on the exhaust system for about 7 years, and I have always heard the noise, but thought it was due to the muffler and manifold being rusted out. Now that I had those 2 items replaced, I still hear the noise (of course the system as a whole is 100 times quieter). The shop told me that everything else looks good as far as the exhaust is concerned....so what would be this ticking noise that I hear? I hear it when I first start up the car, and when I accelerate (gets faster upon acceleration), but I don't hear it at all when not accelerating. 1999 Dodge Durango with only 74,000 miles.

Lifter or loose rocker arm? Can you have someone start it for you when its cold and try to pin point it?
