Here's the problem. The starter contacts are on the back of the solenoid core, the front of the core drives the bendix into the ring gear. All good so far, the moveable contact is a ring which is mounted with a spring to allow tollerance in the "make" position relative to the bendix engagement. The issue is that there's not enough tollerance. A little wear on the contacts and ring and the contacts won't make. This is just poor design work and that coupled with the fact that to fix it, all it would take is a couple new, thicker contact blocks but no, only the entire starter is available. Shame on you Dodge.
