Replaced PCM now Durango won't Start
Ok, I need help. My first problem was my truck didnt want to shift from 1st (what I beleive was 1st) to any other gear. It would shift in the morning but after it warmed up, forget it. Check engine ligh came on and I got code P0753 Shift solenoid A circuit electrical and P1765 Manufactuer Code. I started looking into my governor solenoid, Transducer, Overdrive Solenoid, etc...nothing seemed to work. During all the tranny work i had to disconnect my gears to pull out my valve body to my transmission, to get to certain parts. When I did this I must have messed up the gears cuz I can't get my truck to start on Park, only on neutral. I tried fixing but it worked the first time but as soon as i moved it out of park the same problem occured. The shiftter for my gears on my steering wheel was loose to begin with, i guess i just made it worse. After all the problems I started reading several other posts, I decided to change the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). (i hate when everyone uses abbreviations. I am a begginer on fixing my truck so I need to know what everyones alking about instead of googling the abbreviations)
Anyways, I ordered a remanufactured PCM online because it was cheaper. It was suppose to be programmed with my vin and mileage. I finally received it and connected it. But now my truck won't start. It is one thing after the other. Is it the PCM or just some other problem. My truck lights come on and the radio so, I don't think it is the battery. My car turned on when the old PCM was on. It has sit for 3weeks with the negative disconnected until I got my PCM in the mail. Can someone help? From the beginning or even towards the end of the problems.
Thanks!

Oh yeah, It cranks but wont start. I pushed on the gas but nothing happens. Also, i read to see if I can hear the fuel pump start up? But what does that sound like? I hear a zzzz noise seconds after i try turning the truck on. Is that it? I am actually running my battery low from trying so much. Last night I connected the battery after 3weeks. Battery power seemed fine. But I had it connected all night hoping the truck would start. I tried again this morning and it seemed drained a lil then after i tried more it got drained more. So, I stopped. I dont know what else to do. I will get a jump later today but I won't know until later this evening if that works.

if the truck would start w/ the old PCM i would put it back in because none of your symptoms match a bad PCM from what i have seen.
starting in neutral only sounds like bad neutral saftey switch or transmission range sensor (different names for the same part, depends on which year your truck is, if you have a digital gearshift indicator its a range sensor, if its the red needle then its neutral saftey switch) It could also be the wires going to the neutral saftey switch so take a look tos ee if they are melted.
i also suggest disconnecting and charging the battery overnight, also once you get everything fixed i recommend replacing the battery since it is drained it will likely be a very short period of time before it fails on you at the worst possible time.
I had already looked into the PDC and they seem all fine. But how do u tell if one is burnt? That was the first thing i did. Before changing parts. I will try what again and see what i can find. I will replace the neutral safety switch and to c if that handles the neutral problem.
in the case of relays you cant tell visually, you would have to either build a test set to apply a signal voltage and check continuity, or simply swap them out w/ a known good relay (they should all be the same number, and the horn is an easy position to swap them into to see if they work)
if you still have the old PCM i would swap that back in to try and at least get it started if you have not tried that already

I am sitting in my truck getting it jumped. It wants to start but seems to be hesitant. I swapped the PCM to the old one and it started with about 30min. charging the battery. Then i decided to swap the old for the new and it is also is about to start but it is needing its own charging. So now i'm charging it for about 30 min. (This battery was bought this year in January.) Is this the way it should be? Why would my battery need to charge two different times to get the PCM going? Once again, does this have to do with the PCM's. Or is it some other problem? I still dont know if my truck will change gears. I intially still have the first problem, which is, when driving, my truck wont go into any other gear but 1st. So help....

if its not starting w/ the new pcm but it is w/ the old one then you got a faulty PCM sent back to you, the PCM wouldnt cause any of the other issues you are seeing so put the old one back in for now and lets try and look at the other issues,
if the relays are all fine (they all work the horn i guess) then the next thing to check is the plugs going to the transmission, and the PCM.

So a faulty PCM will cause the truck not to start? Because even with the old PCM i still had to charge it forever. The new PCM did start up but not completely because i couldnt charge it long enough. I was borrowing someones car. The code P0753 sometimes does lead bak to the PCM. Because i had already tried changing the solenoid i thought i should buy the PCM. Ok. So i am ready to check the wires. I will need lots of help with that because i dont know what to do. Thanks for all the help so far. I will check the wires but i will need to be walked thru it. I cant afford a mechanic so i am doing this on my own. I am a single mom and i really need my truck working. Thanks again. So, what is the next step...
