I have a 2002 durango with a 233 tcase that is failing, can I swap in the 244 AWD tcase and if so is there anything else I need to swap?

I found some info saying the front drive shaft is a different length but the online parts places only list one driveshaft

has anyone done this swap?

 

yes it can be done, im not sure if the driveshafts connect the same way, but they should be same length, buy it up and see what happens, the yolks arent that expensive if you have to buy them while doing the swap

I am going to swap it this weekend.
The guy I got the case from has the drive shafts as well so if I find mine don't work I will grab the shafts as well.

I will post up the results of what needs to be done for future reference for anyone going threw the same swap.
