Default Long tube headers

I have been back and fourth on buying a set of headers or not and was hoping you guys could help me make my decision. I've talked to some other enthusiasts and mechanics and they say headers aren't worth spending the extra money on because they tend to leak and really don't add any substantial horsepower gains. On the flip side to this, others says adding headers will definitely increase horsepower by allowing the engine to breath easier. Based on engine fundamentals, this makes sense, however I'm not sure based on the differing opinions whether to take the plunge and buy a set of headers. Any input would be great.. Thanks in advance.

without knowing which engine is in your truck it is hard to give details, however if you have the 5.9 there will be some small gains, however not worth the money to get them unless you plan to keep building the engine up. If you have the 4.7 they are a waste of money until you get to/above the 500 hp mark
