Default Alarm question....

Just wondering, not trying to be "lazy" but are our D's all equipped with alarm systems? At least horn honking and lights flashing...Mine didn't come with a remote door fob but it looks like I can get one on line...
Your thoughts....And go!

no not all D's are equipped with alarms(at least not in the sense of an anti-theft alarm), they do include a 'panic' alarm(flashes headlights and beeps horn for a period of time) which you can activate by pushing a button on the key fob, if your truck works with a key fob then it has this option built in.

Best way to determine this is to contact dodge and request a build sheet from you vin.. it well tell you everything that the truck has.

If you have the highline ctm then you should be able to have keyless entry. One feature that requires the highline ctm is the fog lights, so if you have them you should be good. I know my 99 only works with the remotes with the ram's head on them, and that the 01 & up work with the one without it. I believe the 2000s use the one with the ram's head, but since 2000 was a changeover year you should double check before buying.
