Default Rear heat not woking, suspect a blend door problem

I know this was discussed, and I remember seeing a thread on the subject, but the search feature is just not giving me what I want. But anyway, the rear heat in my 2001 SLT+ doesn't work, t always blows cold. I know hot coolant is going through the rear heater core, and I know the blend door shaft breaks off and the actuator cannot move it. I guess my question is what my options are, I'd like to give it some kind of permanent fix, not just something to patch it together.

Any help, or even a link to the thread from a while back that I was trying to find would be greatly appreciated.
