Howdy guys. been thinking about getting a dual exhaust setup for my 4.7 baby. i was originally just gonna have the usual straight back on with side of the spare tire setup. BUT i started thinking that maybe it would be a cooler idea to have a pip come out on both sides of the truck in front of the rear tires. Opinions?

also please help me clarify this stupid thought of mine ive always thought for some reason that having exhaust mounted there would accelerate the wear time of the rear tires due to heat is this true or complete bogus?

 

You don't need it for power. For looks they have kits. To build one start with single in dual out muffler, work pipe around spare or get rid of spare and go straight across. Cut hole for tip. The heat is bogus.

IMHO, if your gonna do it i would do it right and have a muffler shop build you a custom system that comes out the back. Coming out the sides in front of the rear tire is to tacky and looks really cheap to me..
