Default Steering question

I have a 98 durango SLT, I am having a problem with the steering. I have checked out all of the front end. the tie rods are new and everything is tight. If I take the steering wheel and turn it, the arm on the steering box does not move. I can move the wheel about 1/4 to 1/2 turn before it starts to turn. The whole front end is tight and I know that it is in the steering box.

Can you adjust the slack on the steering box or am I doomed to buy a new box?

Default RE: Steering question

The steering box can be ajusted. Have a mechanic do it for you and check out your steering column to make sure it is good and not frozen up.
