I replaced my headlight switch but I noticed the connector that goes to the switch is melted in spots.How do I splice the new pigtail in place?I know nothing about wiring so any help would be great.Like what connectors to use etc..

 

its pretty simple to strip the wires and flux them, twist together and solder, if you are using heat shrink add it to the wires before twisting them together and then cover w/ liquid electrical tape for extra security,

where are you located? maybe someone on the forum is nearby could show you how to do it.
