Default Front seat free move (play?), radio, and taking care! HELP!!!

Hi there.

I just bought a 2000 4.7 Durango in Panama and the car has some issues that i want to know about first.

Front seats are electric, but there is some play o movement in them. When i accelerate, the seat go backwards, and foward when i stop. Am i clear? it moves like half an inch, but its a bit awkward.

It has the infinity speakers, but when i turn on the radio, the tweeters are the only ones working, all the others dont. So im thinking of changing the radio and speakers, and put all new. But then i see that my radio has rounded corners.... So, can i put another one? Like pioneer or something like that? And what are the sizes of the speakers¿?

Im not panamenian, and people here seems to not take care of cars or know how to repare them, so i want to be sure everything is being made well.

Ohh, it has 105.000 miles. I want to replace every fluid on it. Any sujestion?
And I want to wash the engine. It is really dusty. What do you recomend? Any product, or just someone with water and a hose can do it? i dont want to something to get wet and get broken.

Lots of questions, i know jeje. Sorry, but i really take care of cars. And i never lived here in Panama, and never owned an american car. Last car was a BMW E30, just like new! So, new car, new country, im really lost here!

Check out the DIY section stuck to the top of the main page, there is a thread there on how to fix that.

First i would check fuses... The infinity system has a factory amp located in the right side kick panel. It could be a blown fuse, amp or speaker.. could also be a simple as a loose connection.

You can put a aftermarket radio in it with a install kit for that year truck. I usually deal with crutchfield.com because they send you everything you need to install it with every radio purchase.

Personally, when i get a new to me vehicle i change every fluid just for the piece of mind knowing when it was last done so i can keep up with a proper service. I am not sure what the temp and driving conditions are like where you are but, i usually stick to Mobil1 or Valvoline products in mine.. you will have to do some research to what are the proper weights to use for your area.

I would not recommend using a hose in the engine bay, there is to many electrical things in there that could create you a nightmare. you could get some cleaner in a spray bottle and carefully spot clean it if you like and then use a second spray bottle with plain water to rinse.
