Ive never heard that about the gear lube. I used it last time I changed mine. Hmm, I hope you are wrong.

 

It's not always the case that they're no good, but there's a much better chance f there being problems compared to adding the stuff yourself. If you're using a good brand like mobil 1 you probably won't have problems though.
