Code P1889 issue
Code P1899: Check engine light is on. I had it diagnosed and code P1899 came up. Power Neutral switch. I have a 2000 Dodge Durango V8 4.7L I took it to be serviced only to find out that my vehicle does NOT have a power neutral switch. Why is this code coming up and what is the problem. The vehicle will not pass emissions with the check engine light on. The light can be turned off, however, it immediately comes right back on. No one knows what the problem is now..Please Help ! thanks Mistake on top it's code P1899

yes the haynes repair manual says its a park/neutral switch if you say you dont have one then the repair manual is wrong and Im a bad mechanic Ive been working on vehicles for 15yrs now and Im a veteran my job in the marine corps was a tank mechanic you know jet and diesel engines. I know a little about most vehicles and I am learning fast about the durango and dakotas.
