limited slip/posi
I'm getting really tired of the open rear end, and I found a limited slip off a 2001 ram with the 9.25 rear, same as I have. Would it fit? I'm not sure if it has the same transmission. Thanks
Edit because I thought I was in a Ram question to begin with...oops.
The Durango doesn't have a front axle in the same way the Ram does. It has a centrally mounted front diff and CV style half shafts that connect the diff to the front wheels. IFS - Independent Front Suspension. The Ram will have a solid front axle. I don't recall what the diff is in the 2001 Ram, but the Durango front diff is a D35 if memory serves, and on top of that I think it's an aluminum housing.
I think the Ram front diff is bigger than the Durango front diff...but maybe someone else will have that info.
