Default limited slip/posi

I'm getting really tired of the open rear end, and I found a limited slip off a 2001 ram with the 9.25 rear, same as I have. Would it fit? I'm not sure if it has the same transmission. Thanks

Edit because I thought I was in a Ram question to begin with...oops.

The Durango doesn't have a front axle in the same way the Ram does. It has a centrally mounted front diff and CV style half shafts that connect the diff to the front wheels. IFS - Independent Front Suspension. The Ram will have a solid front axle. I don't recall what the diff is in the 2001 Ram, but the Durango front diff is a D35 if memory serves, and on top of that I think it's an aluminum housing.

I think the Ram front diff is bigger than the Durango front diff...but maybe someone else will have that info.

i had a powr-lok put in dak last year. we had snow here the powr-lok did great. but be for warned. if you have a high power engine, at low speeds the car will spin around with to much power for the traction. just be aware of conditions. dont punch it in low traction condition's

the whole axle will not fit, if the gears are the same ration they should be interchangeable, the ram axle is longer than ours
