Shifting Issues
Hi Everyone,
New to this forum..I have a 99 Dodge Durango, 5.9L, Automatic Transmision. Here is what's happening:
Shifting issues started about a month ago. To drive, I need to start off in "2" then throw it in to "D" for it to get to a higher gear otherwise it won't shift. If I'm cruising and need to get on the gas to pass someone, it will rev really high. I then need to slow down to around 30 mph so I can throw it "2" again then shift to "D". This also occurs when needing more HP to climb a hill.
I don't know if this is just a governor issue, or if I lost some gears and need to rebuild or get a reman tranny installed.
Any insight is greatly appreciated.
