Suggestions; Brake parts to use..
Hi.. im about to give my brakes a tune-up, front and back. I was wondering if i can get some opinions on what parts to use. Im trying to keep to a "small budget" but if quality is an issue, Im willing to pay extra.
1) Im wondering what wheel cylinders to use in the back?
Ive been looking at advanced auto parts. They have a tru-torque for $10,
\
and a wagner for $25
\
**Anyone have any opinions, and or other suggestions?
2) Also, Im wondering what shoes to use?
3) For the front, I picked up some decent slotted rotors, and wondering if I should change my pads?
I just replaced the pads at the end of may (2012), with ceramic wagners. Also the durango sat for a good 4 months, waiting on me to get the money for a trans rebuild.
*4) You think when I bed-in my rotors, using slightly worn pads, would it have a negative effect on one or the other?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Well to answer number 4, ceramic pads are not very friendly to rotors as it is so it really wont make a difference if they are slightly worn because they are still going to eat up the rotors whether new or worn.
ceramic pads are great, however wheneve ryou change rotors i would change pads, not sure why you are changing the rotors at this point if they are bedded to the pads i would leave them unless they are very badly warped, surface rust will wipe off quickly and be of no concern when referring to brake rotors.
I just had to replace the entire brake system in my '02 (rotors, pads, seals, cylinders, drums, shoes) got all the parts at rockauto! With shipping it was the good stuff and cheaper than the crap at autozone or advance.
My $0.02 would simply state that when it comes to brakes, that is NOT an area you want to skimp on. Good brakes could be the difference between accident, and near accident. I would definately get the best you can afford, maybe even the best you can't afford, if your family rides with you.
Not sure I would go with ceramic, since there are more than adequate semi-metallic and such pads/shoes readily available. I have always been a fan of performance friction, as they have never let me down on the road, or at the track.
