Default Taking My D Back

Bought my 2000 D SLT 4.7 in 08 with 95K miles on it. My wife used it as an everyday driver for 4 years. It was passed down to my son who has driven it for a year. Needless to say it hasn't been taken care of. Im taking it back! My goal is to revive this vehicle and make it my everyday driver. Here is what I have done.

Full Oil and Filter Service
Replaced Spark Plugs
New 31x10.5x15 Tires
Cleaned Throttle Body
Cleaned IAC
Replaced Power Steering Pump
Replaced Clutch Fan
New RF Headlight Assembly
Serviced Front Brakes (one Caliper was Bad, replaced)
Replaced Bump Stops (Jounces).

Mods include Gen 2 Wiper Mod.

I am not mechanically inclined to say the least, but reading this forum has made it possible for me to achieve most of these repairs/fixes on my own. There are some very helpful individuals on this forum who make these fixes simple. Thanks to all, and looking forward to starting some mods on this thing.

Yeah, at the time I was driving a 2500 Ram but a job change and the price of Diesel forced me to sell it. been couped up in a little honda accord for the past several years so the D will be a nice step back up

It looks great. Actually got to use it today as it tends to rain a little here in Oregon

Even when it rained, I have never used my rear wiper. In fact I deleted mine when I had to work on the frozen rear hatch lock actuator. One day I figured out that I could coat the rear window with RainX and everything ran right off. Grime and water, my viability has always been great. The RainX works I think because there is no wiper usage to wear down the coat as fast as it happens on the front. Just food for thought.

I have literally never used my rear wiper, however, I would not take it off because I know that there would be an occasion when I wish I had it on and then I would kick myself for doing it. I also use a Rain X like product on the window and I agree it rolls right off. Also the fact that I wash the truck all the time doesn't hurt. But having said this I think the second gen wiper is a great upgrade visually and its definitely worth the price!
