Default newbie metal quesiton

im new to the Durango world, purchased a 98 black in color 4x4 5.9L 117,898 miles Durango yesterday. today I did an oil change, 10w30. when I dumped the old oil from the drain bucket into the jug to dispose of it, I noticed what looks and feels like small metal fragments. my question is, how much is to much?

thanks in advance

if you du mped it into clean containers, i would send a sample to these guys http://www.blackstone-labs.com/ (shake it up before filling the sample container so that any filings that may be in there gets mixed in and sent in along w/ the sample)

i dont have any noticeable metal in my oil when i change it.
