After stopping at a stop sign, I stepped on the gas pedal and the car wouldn't move but was still running...20 second later it stalled and won't restart....My mechanic can't find any problems. He says it's getting both spark and gas...any suggestions or ideas what the problem could be, would be much appreciated..Thanks..

Did the engine accelerate but durango won't move or did not do anything when you stepped on gas?

If you are getting spark and confirmed the fuel is being dumped to the cylinders, check to see if you have any codes show up. If no codes, it is possible you may have bought bad gas?
