I don't think that would be enough to reset it. I'm not positive on this but I think you have to leave the battery disconnected for a few minutes and then hold the key in the start position for 30 seconds or so. The correct procedure should be in the diy section.

One last thing to check and that is your map sensor that is located in front of the throttle body.

I went back and put the new TPS on and did the batterty thing again. It worked fine for a little drive but then shut off at a stop. It has done that every so often for the last day or so. I was wondering about the MAP sensor. I think I might try that in the next day or two. There is one other thing that seems to be hit and miss. Its when you accelerate after making a turn the truck stumbles. You can feel the trans like it is stuck between gears. At least that is what it feels like. I've also heard a low groan at that time. Maybe they are related or not, but just seems to be convient to have this happening also. Going to have a friend that has a scanner run a check on the TCM and the PCM to see what other things might be going on.
