axle and hub swap.
Ok so next weekend I start my tear down of my d. And I have been given the opportunity to purchase a set of 5 20" wheels from a 07 ram for 350. The guy who I would be buying them from told me due to the the axle types I could swap out my rear axles for axles from a 2004 because they utilized the same chrysler corporate axles they just went from a 6 lug pattern to a 5 lug pattern. As well as the front hub bearing assembly's. They have the same spline count and are the same outer diamater and have the 3 bolt triangular pattern to hold them to the spindle/knuckle. I don't want go forward with this swap and purchase the wheels if its not going to work.
Has any one done this swap or know if its possible. Cuz I think it would look great if I could do it.
Please I need info.
Thank you.

the ram axle is wider than yours and the tires will stick out past the fenders, also the brakes may not hook up nicely, im not sure on that just check into it
plus that would only take care of the rear, the front is independant suspension and cannot be swapped out that easily

Sorry I didn't explain all that well. Front hub bearing assembly's from a 04 Durango and The rear axles also. The 04 durangos have the same width rear axles and the use the Chrysler corporate axles. And they have independent front suspension. And from I have read online today they use the exact same hub bearing assembly just a 5 lug pattern instead of a 6 lug. So by me using those axles and the bearing assembly I should be able to use the rams 20" wheels. If they end up sticking out a bit I guess ill end up having to do some unexpected fender work flaring them out a bit.
